Hey my lovelies,
One of the things that makes me super happy is putting on a playlist of mine, jamming out and applying my make-up. I always feel so at ease and just so content and then it comes to actually getting dressed and leaving my house and then it just goes a bit down hill - I'm very much a homebody! Cue Sam Hunt's song 'House Party': "If you wanna be a homebody, we're gonna have a house party" because afterall "You ain't gotta leave the house to have a good time" - he tells the truth!
Anywho, I have come up with a beautiful new eye makeup look inspired by those gorgeous sunsets you see when you're on holiday. Unfortunately in England, we don't get those sunsets all the time and that's probably because the twenty-four hours go from a dull, dreary day to a dull, dreary night...yeah there's not much excitement over here.
Over the last few months, I've found that I'm becoming more open to the idea of creating new looks by myself. I sometimes get the feeling that I don't want to constantly rely on makeup artists and YouTubers to decide on what I should do for my own blog posts. The beauty of this industry is that we can inspire each other and that's great but sometimes you just want to make it on your own. I guess what hindered me before was the prospect of the desired look not turning out how I wanted it to and then feeling like a complete failure. I think it's a common perception that no one wants to be a failure, even in the simplest things, but hey practice makes perfect!
Hopefully you'll be able to take some inspiration from this post and possibly, if you want recreate it yourself, put your own twist on it or even be brave enough to come up with something completely new. If you do, be sure to tag me in your photos so that I can see your beautiful work!
